M + E / Dreamy Morning Engagement Session at the Dallas Arboretum

M + E’s morning engagement session was pure magic.

For all of my couples wanting to take photos at the Arboretum, I typically recommend to start at 9 am, right after it opens. This leaves us with quieter gardens, crisp air to beat the Texas heat and soft morning light that gives off the dreamiest glow. It felt like we almost had the entire space to us this day- the perfect setting to slow down, explore and focus on the two of them. Throughout the engagement session, I loved getting to know these two better, learn their photo style and bond over Olipop flavors.

When M & E initially reached out to book their wedding day and engagement session, M told me on our discovery call that they were drawn to my images because they felt alive- not stagey or fake. Real & honest. That is exactly what we leaned into here. From the very beginning they fully embraced being themselves- laughing together, leaning into one another & enjoying each other’s company.

Morning engagement sessions at the Dallas Arboretum have a beauty all their own — golden light filtering through the trees, gorgeous architecture, and vibrant greenery that frames each moment like a painting. It’s one of my favorite locations for Dallas engagement photos because it offers such a romantic, timeless backdrop for telling love stories!

These two have an energy that simply radiates and it was my greatest joy to document them in their truest form. I am so looking forward to documenting them in January 2026!
